Cellulite and pregnancy
However, pregnant or not, cellulite is something that is easier to prevent and cure.
While pregnant, many diverse methods of getting rid of cellulite can not work for you - you can not go on a diet, use any kind of "magical" pills (which I would not recommend anyway), go to arduous treatments, etc.
Here's the list of things you could do, easily at your home, for preventing and reducing cellulite while pregnant:
1. Walk. If there is no complication with your pregnancy, or not advised by your doctor otherwise, walking is a good way of preventing and reducing cellulite. It's recommended to walk for at least half an hour a day, but if you have enough time, even 2 or 3 hours a day would be great.
2. Massage. This specially goes for those areas already affected with cellulite.
3. Relax & enjoy. It's seriously considered that one causes of cellulite is stress. Pregnancy might be stressful for some, so try to enjoy in good sides of it. For relaxation you might use some steamy baths with salts, oils and essential oils like lavender, orange, grapefruit, rosewood, ... . Here you can check the list of home made cellulite remedies!
4. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables. They contain necessary vitamins and minerals, as well as dietary fibers. Some of the best fruits for preventing cellulite are grapes, banana and pineapple.
5. Drink lots of water, unsweetened tea, juiced fruit like orange, grapefruit, yogurt.
These might sound a bit simplistic, but the hard part is making it all a habit. Simply said, there is no miracle, sophisticated, complicated way of preventing and getting rid of cellulite, but simply doing your best to adopt these habits as much as possible.
Is cellulite preventable?

Q: What is cellulite? Is it preventable, or is it all in the genes like stretch marks? I've just noticed maybe a tiny weeny bit of what I think MAY be cellulite, on my thigh. I'm not sure though, I'm 18 and I've never really understood what it is. Is there anything I can do to prevent more forming?
A: Here's an article that explains what exactly cellulite is:
It's easiest to explain if you compare cellulite to fat.
> Regular fat provides protection to the organs and muscles, and insulates the body. Cellulite has no positive use.
> Regular fat, when squeezed, is smooth in texture. Cellulite appears to have ridges, lumps and irregularities, when squeezed.
> Regular fat could occur anywhere on the body. Cellulite appears only in some parts of the body such as the thighs, arms, buttocks and breasts.
> Regular fat can be accessed by the body as an energy source, while cellulite cannot be used as an energy source.
Also, the causes of cellulite are:
- poor nutrition
- physical inactivity
- genetics
- stress
- bad circulation
- hormones

The easiest way to lose cellulite in a timely manner (two weeks)

Q: What is the easiest way to lose cellulite from the back of your thighs in a timely manner? I am going to be a counselor at a summer camp in about 2 weeks and I have some cellulite on the back of my thighs that I would love to tone down a little bit before camp starts. I am not what you call a big girl, pretty much just average but, I can't seem to fix that unsightly area. Any ideas? Any would be appreciated :P
A:In just two weeks it's impossible to lose your cellulite, but you could work on reducing the appearance of cellulite. The best express ways of doing so are:

- water - take good care not to dehydrate, as dehydration reveals cellulite even more
- massaging, exfoliating, rubbing - do that while taking shower; your skin will immediately look smoother
- use some home remedies for reducing cellulite during these two weeks
- avoid alcohol and cigarettes - they dehydrate you, and make your skin look unhealthy

Best way to tone butt and make cellulite disappear
Just wondering if anyone has a favorite butt toning exercise...or if anyone knows how to make cellulite disappear? I have heard that cellulite is genetic to a point...and I have tried a lot of exercises to tone up and make cellulite less noticeable, and I eat pretty healthy (with the exception of splurges now and than) but I still have this problem. Any suggestions would really help! Thanks!

Causes of stretch marks and cellulite
I have a friend who is extremely skinny. She's 5.2" and weights 97 lbs but she has cellulite on the backs of her upper thighs and stretch marks on her buttocks and the backs of her knee. I don't get it. I'm 5.5" and I weight 120lb and we both don't work out and I don't have cellulite or stretch marks. I don't understand. I thought only people who gained a lot of weight rapidly got stretch marks like in pregnancies. She's too skinny, and she hates her legs. What could she do? Her mother who doesn't know she has this problem bought her a bunch of short shorts and she wants to wear them, but she wants to get rid of the cellulite and stretch marks. What can she do? Btw, she does not have fatty foods or any red meats in her diets. she only eats vegetables, fruits, pastas and white meat.
A: Her skin lacks vitamins E and C. She should use a body cream or lotion for stretch marks prevention that are rich with vitamins. She can try making some home remedies, as well.
Stretch marks are there to stay, but could be less visible if treated with creams or lotions, of which specially good is cocoa butter based creams and lotions, or cocoa butter itself.
If the stretch marks go really bad she could recover her skin's appearance with laser treatments.
For cellulite removal she has many options. Here you can find many tips for getting rid of cellulite. Also, feel free to look around, there are many useful articles, tips and advices around here.
